Legislative Day of Action for Water Justice

Legislators need to know that there is a much better way than simply denying thousands of families water they need for drinking, washing and flushing their toilets! Let's inform our Senators and Representatives about a new bi-partisan set of bills that could create a human right to water in Michigan, establish a water affordability plan and other important reforms.  Click HERE for more information about this legislation.   There will be water lobbying training tonight (Monday) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Food and Water Watch, 2727 Second Ave (at Temple, across from Cass Park)

Be at the Capitol on December 10th at 9 a.m. so you can visit with your State Senator and then your State Representative.  A bus will be leaving Central United Methodist Church in Detroit at 7 a.m.  There will be a press event at noon at the Capitol. If you're going to Lansing, let me know so I can look for you there.  Information these bills will be provided that morning.

If you can't be at the Capitol, please call your state Senator and Representative and tell them to support the water reform bills package.  Click HERE for a   phone list of Michigan State Representatives.
